Curie Point Injector

Curie Point Injector is ...

Curie point injector is a new type of curie point pyrolyzers in constant pursuit of usability.

Conventional pyrolyzers have to be connected to GC injection port. When a same GC is used for both liquid injection and pyrolysis, you would have to go through installation and removal of pyrolyzer on GC every time. Many of operators consider safety issues too and may not appreciate the work.

That is how the curie point injector has been developed and why it needs to be portable. Pyrolyzates and generated gas can be injected into GC inlet, only when needed, without being positioned on GC injection port, just like micro syringe injection.

Here to introduce more unique features of curie point injector.

Sample tube and needle are replaceable and clean per analysis.
Many of polymers pyrolyzate contain 60% of tar-like high boiling compounds that are not possible to analyze by GCMS and they tend to remain inside pyrolyzers or GC as residue. This becomes problematic ghost peaks in successive injections. Curie point injector has replaceable sample tube and needle. The analytes only goes through clean flow channel every time so that cross contamination risks are minimized. The used sample tube and needle can be cleaned and reused many times.

VOC analysis is also supported.
Adsorption cartridge called mini-PAT is available for VOC analysis. The mini-PAT is composed of an empty sample tube filled with adsorbent (Tenax GR as standard) and a piece of pyrofoil (280°C as standard and a foil is wrapped around the adsorbent). It can potentially be applied, for example, odor analysis at work environment or food products.
